ENTICE ME & ROPING THE COWBOY
Genre: Sweet Through Hot Romance
Genre: Sweet Through Hot Romance
The night I met Drew Jagger, he’d just broken into my new Park Avenue office.
I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills.
He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing.
Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant.
Only, turned out, he wasn’t an intruder at all.
Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He’d been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.
Which was how a scammer got away with leasing me office space that wasn’t really available for rent.
I was swindled out of ten grand.
The next day, after hours at the police station, Drew took pity on me and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. In exchange for answering his phones while his secretary was out, he’d let me stay until I found a new place.
I probably should have acted grateful and kept my mouth shut when I overheard the advice he was spewing to his clients. But I couldn’t help giving him a piece of my mind.
I never expected my body to react every time we argued. Especially when that was all we seemed to be able to do.
The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.
The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.
And an attraction that was getting harder to deny by the day.

Carina Painter lives a life she created in between the pages of her bestselling novel. At least, that’s what she outwardly portrays. A heart-rending childhood followed by an abusive engagement leaves her broken in all ways possible. A chance encounter provides the fork in the road she so desperately desires.
Navy SEAL Smith Eppington is fighting the war of his lifetime. One that isn’t fought with weapons and highly sought intelligence. It’s a battle to remember his past. The accident that scarred seventy-five percent of his body, and stole the life of his best friend also seized parts and pieces of his memory. When an author asks to interview him for a fiction novel, he’s ready to pour his heart out no matter the cost.
The friendship that blossoms between Smith and Carina is something extraordinary. It’s a living, breathing love story about finding yourself, change that is out of your control, grasping what you can, and letting go of everything else.
In a twist of kismet, remembering could destroy everything, but fiction may be what saves the day. A friendship built on new truths and a relationship torn apart by old lies collide in a poignant novel by International Bestselling Author, Rachel Robinson.

A booty call. A stuck elevator. A chance to move on.
When Riley Eames agrees to meet her ex-boyfriend in his hotel room “just to talk,” she knows it could only mean one thing – a booty call.
But three years after he left her to pursue his Hollywood dream, she’s determined to get answers to the questions only he can answer – until she finds herself trapped in the elevator with charming British actor, Ashe Hunter, who’s in town to promote his latest movie.
But a celebrity romance may not be enough to get Riley’s life moving again, not when the answers long kept hidden from her are finally revealed, and letting go just might be the last thing she can ever do.
Though Liz studied journalism in college, she discovered that she preferred writing romantic fiction over news and ad copy. She lives in Southern California with her family where she spends her days writing, chasing after her 6-year old, and stepping over Legos.

“Twenty questions,” Ashe said softly as Riley snuggled against him, both of them facing the window. More than twenty-four hours since they both stumbled into her apartment after a beautiful night out on the town, it was drizzling. Water trails made their way down the window panes, casting shadows across their bodies lying on the bed.
Riley didn’t have to glance at the clock to know that dawn was approaching. They’d fallen asleep after the third time making love–the third time of crying out his name as she came, her voice growing hoarser with each gasp, each moan, each breath that left her lips. Her body was spent, though her spirits soared every time he touched her, kissed her, and pulled her towards him. She loved the way he looked at her when he made love to her, the way he buried his face in her hair, his fingers interlaced with hers that told Riley he was really there, and he was really seeing her.
He was baring her.
“Can we just start with five?” Riley asked. “I’m usually the one who asks the questions.”
“Why are you afraid of being asked similar questions you had no problems asking me?”
“I just prefer to ask them.”
“Don’t you think that’s unfair?” His voice grew lower, teasing.
“Yes, it is.”
“I don’t understand.”
“Because I’ve made my mistakes, and I don’t want to be judged because of them.”
“Do you believe falling in love is a mistake?” he asked.
“Only when there’s no guarantee that it’ll last forever.”
“Nothing last forever, Riley. But would you have wanted the last…relationship to last forever?”
She sighed. “You ask hard questions, Ashe.”
“Please answer the question, Riley. Would you prefer thatrelationship to last forever? Gareth?”
“In hindsight, no,” she replied. “He would have betrayed me anyway. If not in L.A., then right here in New York. Or anywhere for that matter.”
“You’re uncomfortable,” Ashe said. “Would you want me to stop asking questions?”
Riley turned to face him, marveling at the color of his eyes. So blue, darkening whenever he frowned. She shook her head. “It’s only fair that you get to ask the questions.”
“Even if it makes you uncomfortable?”
“Maybe it’s time for me to stop feeling too comfortable,” Riley replied as she turned to lay on her back. Ashe still had his arm around her, his other hand supporting his head. “I’ve been hiding from the truth for so long. If not drugs, then I did it by working too much. And I still do.”
“What are you afraid of?”
“The truth–the awful, ugly truth that people hide behind their lies, their smiles,” she replied. “So sometimes I don’t even try asking the questions that need to be asked. I’m afraid that I’d find out the truth and it’ll hurt. And I’m afraid of being alone.”
“But you’re not alone. So many people love you.”
“Then why do I feel lonely?”
“Are you feeling lonely now?” Ashe asked, frowning.
Riley shook her head, forcing a smile before sighing. This was exactly what she feared. The truth. But she might as well say it for in the morning, he’d be gone, and he’d probably forget all about her.
“No, right now I’m fine. But when you go–and you will go–then I will feel lonely. But I’ll be okay,” she said, looking up at him, serious now. “Any more questions?”
Ashe frowned. He was studying her face as if he was taking in every curve of her cheek, every line that would have told him she really laughed more than she cried. She was a barista after all. And baristas needed to be happy.
“Ask me if I ever feel lonely,” Ashe whispered. “Go on.”
“Do you ever feel lonely?”
“Sometimes,” he replied. “And I never felt as lonely as I did when I first met you in that elevator. Two people standing in a box, yet so distant. So alone, and so apart from each other. You on your way to something that would connect you with your past–”
“I had changed my mind then.”
“–and me walking away from people who wanted me only according to what I could do for them,” he said, smiling drily.
Riley turned to look at him. Before this, they’d lain on the bed on their sides, still facing the window with her back to him. But she needed to see him now, to see his face, his eyes.
“Is that why you started talking to me?” Riley asked. “To make a connection to something else? Something more real?”
“Someone, Riley. Not something. And you’re more than real. You’re the real thing,” Ashe said, kissing her forehead. “You made me smile my first real smile that day.”
“Well, I can be comedy relief,” she said softly though Riley didn’t laugh. There was something in his words that tugged at her.
“Well, there’s that,” Ashe chuckled, rolling onto his back as Riley turned to face him, half on her side and half leaning against him. His fingers played with her hair, pushing a lock away from her face or twirling it around his long fingers. “You’re a very beautiful woman, Riley. Never forget that.”

The Painted Lady Inn is open for business and limping along in the B and B world. A high school reunion package assembles Donna’s least desirable classmates, including the backstabbing cheerleader, her narcissistic high school crush, and Arnie, whose cheesy poem had everyone calling her, hot mama. It’s all something she liked to forget. These are the normal guests.
An octogenarian self-proclaimed sleuth, Father Christmas, a dognapping couple, and a pair who is copying everything in the Inn to set up their own competitive establishment rounds out the group. Maria, the sister-in-law, has a matchmaking agenda for Donna. Daniel, her brother, finds himself serving as a referee with one guest’s multiple wives.
High school reunions can be murder. Detective Mark Taber is on the trail of the murderer, when he isn’t interfering in a smitten Arnie’s determined bid to woo the no nonsense innkeeper.
By the time, she had the salts swept up and the broom stowed, Terri arrived. The woman swept in with the same arrogance Cleopatra must have shown entering Rome. A disdainful head tilt announced she’d been in grander accommodations. No mistaking the woman, she looked the same, only tighter as if her skin had shrunk, making her face all angles without any soft curves.
“Hello, Gentry, Terri, I have a reservation.”
Donna repressed an urge to remark that her presence made a reservation self-evident. “Yes, you do. Welcome to The Painted Lady Inn. Here’s your gift basket.” She pushed the remaining basket in Terri’s direction.
The woman pawed through the contents as her lips pulled down in a frown. “The bath salts that were advertised on the website ad are missing.”
Before she could answer, Terri continued.
“No way, I can carry it and my luggage upstairs. I guess it’s too much to expect a backwater establishment like this would have an elevator?” Her sneer announced she already knew the answer.
“Here at The Painted Lady Inn, we strive for authenticity.” It seemed a better answer than no, we don’t have an elevator.
Terri raised both eyebrows as she stared down at Donna, who had picked up both the woman’s suitcase and basket. Normally, the woman wouldn’t have anything on her height wise, but with her hunched over like Quasimodo, the hunchback of Notre Dame, she was at a disadvantage.
What did she have in the suitcase? Bricks? She stood, straightening her back and retaining as much dignity as possible. “You’re in B2.”
“Hmm. Should I assume there’s no running water?”
Count to ten. She inhaled deeply. While she didn’t think it was possible, the woman had grown even more malicious with age. “Excuse me?” Maybe she hadn’t heard right.
“If you’re trying to return to Victorian times, then they wouldn’t have running water.”
M. K. Scott is the husband and wife writing team behind The Painted Lady Inn Mysteries. Morgan K Wyatt is the general wordsmith, while her husband, Scott, is the grammar hammer and physics specialist. He uses his engineering skills to explain how fast a body falls when pushed over a cliff and various other felonious activities. The Internet and experts in the field provide forensic information, while the recipes and B and B details require a more hands on approach. Morgan’s daughter who manages a hotel provides guest horror stories to fuel the plot lines. The couple’s dog, Chance, is the inspiration behind Jasper, Donna’s dog. Murder Mansion is the first book in The Painted Lady Inn Mysteries. Overall, it is a fun series to create and read. Drop Dead Handsome is the second book in the series. Killer Review should be out in October 2016.

Jamie Banks’ life is the epitome of perfection. His company is thriving, his band is on the cusp of stardom, and the girl he loves is returning home.
His problem…the girl he loves has been his best friend for as long as he can remember and he’s not sure he’s ready to sacrifice his best friend for a lover. Pursuing a relationship with the possibility of losing her has him second-guessing everything he knows.
Unspoken words are the only thing standing in their way.
“Yo, you like what you’re seeing? The girls sure have formed a fan club out there,” Christian yells across the table. He is being such a ball breaker today. Do I have ‘I’m in love with your sister’ written on my damn forehead?
“You gonna let those guys try and make a move on the girls, or are you going to show them what you got?” he continues with a raised eyebrow challenging me.
Sitting here at the table watching the girls dance is killing me. My fists are clenching under the table as I notice guys approaching the girls. The girls aren’t paying them any mind until one dude walks up behind Camryn. He stands there, eyeing her up like she’s a freaking piece of candy. He hasn’t touched her yet, but the idea of him being that close to her has my blood boiling. My jaw begins to clench, and my body tenses. I look over at Christian, and he has this shit eating grin on his face.
Not being able to stand it anymore, I grab my beer and take a long swig. It’s nearly empty, so I motion to Lincoln to order me another one then I head to the dance floor. Camryn’s back is toward me so she doesn’t see me approaching, but Morgan does and she has a huge smile on her face. If I were to bet, I would think Morgan knows more than she lets on about Camryn’s feelings for me. But, of course, Morgan being her best friend, her lips are sealed yet she never misses an opportunity to make comments about the two of us.
Morgan continues to dance in front of Camryn, never letting her know that I nudged the guy out of the way. Desnudate by Christina Aguilera comes on and Morgan moves in between Camryn’s legs so she can grind up against her. Morgan wiggles her eyebrows at me and yells over the music and motions to me behind her,
“Cami, keep dancing. You’re good.” Camryn doesn’t turn around to see who is behind her. I’m guessing she figures if Morgan said to keep dancing, she’s going with the flow. It could also be that she had a huge grin plastered on her face when I approached, so Camryn knew it was okay to continue to dance.
My body is now against Camryn’s back and my hands are on her waist moving her to the beat. Camryn hasn’t attempted to turn around, and I want to keep it that way. I don’t want her to know it’s me… not yet. Camryn continues to dance, her hips moving to the beat and her ass is grinding against my straining dick. Heel, boy…Down. I move back a little, trying to adjust myself, but it’s not working. Screw it, moving closer to Camryn I pull her ass into me and move my hips. I know she can feel how hard I am for her, but she doesn’t pull away, so I move my hands so they are around her waist and rub her stomach. I can feel her muscles tense up under my touch, but she is enjoying this as much as I am.
Morgan laughs while she dances. She moves away from Camryn to Karsen and Lindsey, leaving Camryn with me. I lean down and gently move Camryn’s hair away from her neck. The smell of her lavender vanilla body spray makes my mouth water.
Whispering, “Are you enjoying yourself?” I can feel her laugh as my hands glide across her stomach. She simply nods her head and continues to push against me. Camryn’s body relaxes, so my hands continue to roam up and down her lean body. She knew it was me the entire time. Camryn would have never allowed a stranger to dance with her the way I am. When Morgan gave her the okay, she knew it was me. Camryn knows my body, this isn’t the first time we’ve danced like this. Leaning into her ear again, I ask “Do you feel what you’re doing to me, Camryn?”

He leans down and moves his mouth over mine, devouring its softness. Slowly, I lift my arms around his neck, running my hands through his thick hair. I tug on his hair, not wanting this kiss to end.
When he pulls back, he leaves my mouth burning with fire. With a wicked grin on his face, he points to the shower. “I have to get out of here before I have my way with you. Your brother is out there waiting. Go get a shower, cool off, do what you have to do to calm yourself down. But if I hear moaning, I am gonna be all over you whether your brother is here or not.”
I chuckle knowing what he is insinuating. Before he can move, I bite his lower lip, sucking it into my mouth. I release his bottom lip and place a soft kiss on it. “Mr. Banks, I will have you know, if I plan on moaning, it would be because you made me, it won’t be self-induced.”
I push myself off the counter, walking over to turn on the shower. When I look over my shoulder Jamie is standing there, his jaw clenched, his eyes slightly narrowed.
I am going to give him a show and drive him crazy. He thought he was cute when we were younger when he jumped naked into the pool at my birthday party, I am going to have a little fun with him today.
I pull the hem of tank top up and over my head, leaving me standing there topless. My back is facing Jamie, so he can’t see my breasts. I slowly peel my sleep shorts off of my body, one leg at a time and toss them in his direction. When I turn around his muscle flicks angrily in his jaw. I fix my eyes on his. “Do you like what you see, Mr. Banks?” Knowing that he is going to lose his shit, I quickly get in the shower and shut the curtain behind me.
Peeking around the shower curtain, I squeal at the intrusion into my personal space as Jamie smirks at me saying so quietly that I’m not entirely sure I heard him, “You think you’re funny, don’t you? Two can play at this game. You better pray the next time I see you naked, your brother isn’t in the next room. Cause if he is, he will hear what you sound like when I’m making you come with my mouth.” He reaches out and pauses mid-air as he’s about to stroke my breast. Instinctively, I lean toward his touch wanting his hand there, wanting him in here, knowing my brother is literally steps away from me grabbing him and pulling him into the shower with me. Inhaling a breath, never breaking eye contact with him, I moan, quiet enough that no one hears but he heard. Smirking at me with lust-filled eyes, he pulls his hand back, retreating the hand that was so close to the water beading on my nipple that my skin feels his absence and he never even touched me.
And he stalks out of the bathroom. Just like that.
Holy. Shit. I need to make this a cold shower after what he just said to me, after how he almost touched me. A smile spreads across my face as I hear the bathroom door shut. One for Cami, One for Jamie.
